SolasCure Medical Animation
SolasCure is a pioneering UK-based biotechnology company that develops advanced, biomimetic therapeutics to transform the treatment of chronic wounds.
The task was to depict the working of their product based on maggot enzyme which utilises biomimicry to isolate the cleaning benefits of maggots without using live larvae. The enzyme specifically targets and breaks down necrotic tissue (fibrin, collagen, and elastin) to clean the wound bed—a process called debridement—while simultaneously activating tissue repair pathways to speed up healing.
I was brought onboard this project for SolasCure by the film company The Digital Cortex. My task was to formulate and execute a plan to show this complex process in an appealing way adhering to strict branding guidelines.
Art direction was led by Dave Hackney of the Digital Cortex.
